I I really wanted to start getting fit and also had some weight and toning goals I wanted to achieve! I was having a hard time finding the motivation at other gyms, and my sister in-law recommended Catalyst as she had been going for 6-8 months and was having great results! I had to check it out for myself.
I have been going to Catalyst for about 4 months now, and am loving it! I started doing personal training sessions with Mel, and am so happy I did that. It helped me become comfortable and learn a lot of the work-outs, as I did not have any previous knowledge and my exercise level was fairly low. I have now been going to the AM group fitness classes. I was a little bit nervous at first, but they are amazing! Everyone who attends Catalyst that I have met so far has been so nice and supportive. I find the classes a lot of fun, and look forward to going to them! I recently found out I was pregnant, and it does not stop me from attending the classes at least 3 times a week. All the coaches are great, and help me gear the work-outs to my abilities and limitations as I progress through my pregnancy.
I am working on improving in almost all areas (like I said I started with a very low fitness/strength level), and have already seen results (especially in my pull-ups!) I am working on being able to work from the rings, to doing a pull-up on the bar. Snatches and cleans are also in my goal reach, at perfecting the form and increasing my weight.
My best memory is probably when I managed to do my first double under! I tried so many times and couldn’t, when I finally did one I was so excited. Even though I am still not the master of them, it showed me I could do it and will only get better!
