You wanna see something?

Come to the Park today. Every year, we do this little party called the Catalyst Games. We take these folks, and we drill down into their souls and let a little bit seep out.  You can see it, even: sometimes, it looks like tears, or sweat, or even blood.

All year, we train hard to help people be the best they've ever been. In September, they get to show it off a bit. There are three events today:

1. A 3.5k run, with 50 pushups, 100 squats, and 25  burpees.

2. A max clean ladder – get the bar from the floor to a 'catch' position on your chest. Oh yeah, you have 30 seconds, and then the bar jumps up by 20lbs.

3. A Navy SEAL BUD/S  workout, featuring a log, sandbags, and a truck push.

4. A gruelling test of fitness: plyometrics, pullups, skill skipping, and a fun little toy we call Wall Ball.

This year, we have 80 athletes competing, from all across the spectrum: beginners, Teams, and elite athletes. It's incredibly spectator-friendly; bring a camera, and bring your voice!

Event rules, details, and the day's schedule is a the Catalyst Games 2011 site.

Our regular groups (Rumble/Tumble, Catalyst Varsity, and Jiu-Jitsu Open Roll) are still on as scheduled! Bring the kids! Tomorrow, it's THEIR turn to compete at the Varsity Games! The gym, though, is closed to members for the day.
