A terrific turnout to support our Relay For Life team, The Green Army, last night at the John Rhodes. Thousands of people united for common good - very moving. In sad news, our top fundraiser's (Madison Zuppa) mother passed away yesterday morning, mere hours before the Relay began. Madison ran anyway. All night. SHE is tough.
Want a survivorship story? How about this: Miranda Mayhew (did Catalyst Games 2009 on her wedding day – remember the green veil?) 8 months pregnant. Hit by a CAR while walking. Car's dented; Miranda and the baby are fine. Now THAT is real-world toughness!
