Dear Crossfit: I hate you!

I hate how you make my muscles sore.

I hate you for making me sweat and my heart pound.

I hate you for making me run.

I hate you for teaching me what a foam roller is.

I hate you for making me leave places early so I can wake up when everyone else is sleeping.

I hate how you make me plan my meals in advance.

I hate how you made my legs no longer fit in pants.

I hate how you gave me calves that don’t fit in tall boots.

I hate that you gave me arms that get noticed.

I hate that I am always washing loads of sweaty gym gear.

I hate the bruises you give me on my shins and the calluses on my hands.

I hate that you introduced me to Lululemon.

I hate that I spend my spa/hair budget on you.

I hate that I can no longer say “You carry it, it’s too heavy for me.”

I hate that you introduced me to a group of hardworking, inspiring people.

I hate that you showed me what is possible.

I hate that you always try to make me better.

I hate that I think of you and the next workout during the day.

But most of all, I hate you because it is too late. There is no going back.
