Trish is Retiring!

Family, Coach Trish is going to back off of coaching to focus on some pretty awesome new opportunities:

1 – more time with her family

2 – training for the world championships in weightlifting.

Coaching at Catalyst became Trish’s career after retiring from her “real” job at CAS. She jumped in and trained during Covid lockdowns, which is like training for the army by parachuting into a battle.

That meant Trish’s coaching started online, and then transitioned into in-person groups, 1:1 and, eventually, semiprivate. Trish was a leader in our Legends program, a leader in our groups and a leader on the staff.

Now she’s going to put her focus on her own performance and her family: two noble goals that will continue to serve and inspire others.

Trish’s contribution to our gym cannot be overstated. As she’s always done, she jumped in during a time when everything felt upside-down. But this wasn’t new to Trish: this has been her whole life. She’s helped kids, families and adults deal with, cope with and even escape the worst times in their life. She’s also guided, motivated and inspired kids, families and adults to some of the best times in their lives.

Training for weightlifting can be a lonely pursuit. It’s one of the greatest sports in the world, and Trish is one of the top athletes in Canadian weightlifting. Next year, she’ll be competing in Vegas at the World Championships. Amazing.

Trish, thanks for your coaching, your service to our gym and our community and your family, and your inspiration now and always! We’ll be watching and cheering.
