We can train your team! 8-week sessions (1x or 2x/week) are available at Catalyst starting July 1! Players aged 8-14 will use age-appropriate equipment, including:

  • Push and pull sleds
  • Barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells
  • Pullup bars, rings, ropes  and climbing nets
  • Obstacle course and Ninja Warrior gear
  • Tires and other CrossFit ‘toys’

Our Coaches:

  • Have up to 15 years’ experience coaching kids
  • Have been working with athletes for almost 20 years
  • Know how to keep it FUN and SAFE.
  • Are qualified to coach youth.

Kick around the Catalyst Varsity groups for awhile, and you’ll hear kids mention their “other” sport: track, basketball, hockey, or soccer, usually. These kids don’t train at Catalyst for these sports; they do the Varsity or Junior Varsity program to get more fit. They’re well-rounded athletes because they don’t specialize too early. They pick up new sports quickly, because they’re good at movement; they often win in their first year because they’re strong and fast. While their peers try to get fit by playing hockey all summer, Varsity athletes know to GET. FIT. FIRST.
Catalyst takes pride in delivering highly-coachable athletes. When autumn comes and they return to the ice, they’re ready to learn; they can endure long practices and outpace everyone else. Coaches don’t have to ‘whip them into shape’ before they can be taught game-specific skills. The whole team benefits when a player is fit on the first day of practice.
Kick around the Catalyst Varsity groups for an hour, and you’ll hear about winning. “I have to go to NOSSA this weekend, Coach. What should I do for homework while I’m there?” or “I won my Zone for the standing long jump. I didn’t even practice!”
