These are the bare walls and floor of SCMMA. But these are not its foundation. We practice Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, kickboxing, MMA, grappling….these are our disciplines, but not the whole of our tradition. SCMMA is really built on honour; humility; the nobility earned through practice and the relentless pursuit of knowledge. Tonight, Mitch Fryia represents SCMMA in his first pro fight, and the team’s second. The SCMMA team, and the Catalyst family, will be there in droves. Time for a show of strength.
Today’s Workout: Clean Ladder, then Squat
In teams of three, each team member does 15 power cleans with 65lbs nonstop. No regripping, or pausing at the bottom or top. When each team member has completed their reps, the bar weight is increased by 20lbs and another 15 reps is performed without rest. If a team member can’t complete all 15, they’re out. Last team standing wins. Then we repeat with squats in the cage (#135/95/65lbs) total rounds completed wins.
