Yesterday’s Deadlift Ladder Skill Session was a great illustration of why we host competitions. It can be summed up in three words:
Mind, Set, Go!
A timed ladder doesn’t allow much room for distraction. Attendees were given a mental “countdown” to practice between lifts, and that kept them focused on the bar. It also minimized wasted effort, and–most of all–the overthinking that leads to doubt.
Some big PRs yesterday, and we still have over a month to go! Great job, everyone!
