Today’s 9am CrossFit group will be the last at the Park. We’ll be moving from 99 to 88 over the long weekend, beginning at noon today.
This is the apex of a year-long process. We’ll close the gym at noon, and open for yoga ONLY at 9am-10am tomorrow. We’ll be closed the rest of the day Sunday, and all day Monday; Tuesday’s 7am and noon groups will meet at the Fort Creek Conservation area for a super fun outdoor WOD!
It should go without saying: we won’t be carrying any Lost and Found items with us. If you left anything, or think you did, show up at the Park before noon today. Jess already has a bunch of jewelry set out, and clothing/shoes are yours to claim until 12:00.
We WILL be carrying a lot of weight, bars and rubber flooring over the next two days, beginning tomorrow at 10am. If you’d like to help, you’re welcome to (bring your truck.) If you’d prefer to wait and see the new facility all put together, I don’t blame you (I’m hesitant even to accept help because I’d rather everyone waits to see the new place when it’s perfect. On the other hand, I’m not very fast at moving stuff.) We’ll do the move in one day (Sunday) and spend Monday setting things up.
Dave, Jordan and I have been pulling 18-hour days all week, and we’re very focused on the task to bring everything in on schedule. For that reason, visits to the new site today and Monday aren’t encouraged. It’s a construction zone, after all. But on Tuesday, you’re going to be amazed: I’ve been holding back pictures and comments pending City inspection, but it’s awesome in here.
I’ve already said my goodbyes at 5am; Charity will lead the 9am “Last Dance” workout while Dave, Jordan and I build. Enjoy, take pictures, tag the gym, let people know where we’re moving: up.
