Remember that kid in the picture above? She won the 2009 Catalyst Games. Now she’s a ski coach out west, and though we don’t hear from her often, her influence was definitely felt last week. In Kath Fryia’s words:
Nicole Gignac lives out west, but still wanted to be part of “The Gift”. She told her family she didn’t want much for Christmas, but she wanted them to help her with this instead. So she accepted a family of four children, proceeded to the Internet to buy their presents, had them shipped to her Mom and sister in the Soo, so they could wrap and deliver them. There were a few snags along the way, but she is resourceful and worked it all out from afar.
Amazing. Thanks, Nicole.
For the last three years, we’ve been incredibly blessed by The Gift: the Catalyst Family’s adoption of dozens of kids from the Sault for Christmas. This year, we had more than ever, and Kath Fryia put it all together. Come and celebrate Kath, Nicole, and the generosity of our Catalyst community on Saturday night. Even if you couldn’t contribute to the Gift this year, come anyway and hang out!
