Brianna Bruni: A New Found Confidence

What brought me to catalyst was wanting to train more intensely for basketball. I wanted to mainly improve my strength all around. I felt like I wasn’t getting all the instruction I needed on my own with a basic program and I felt like there was so much more I could do and learn and catalyst seemed to be the best place for me and my needs, turns out I was right!
My first impression honestly I was scared but after my first work out I never loved anything so much and wanted to come back instantly. I felt comfortable as soon as I walked through the doors, everyone was very nice and nothing was overwhelming. Now I can’t wait to go back and work even harder than the last time. I have gained more confidence after one workout than I have gained ever. the realization sinks in and you think wow I can actually do that!
Right now I’m working on being a tougher and stronger so I can overcome obstacles and really put my mind and focus into something I love and can be successful at, going to the gym is not just a thing to better myself, it’s something I enjoy doing and have fun doing. I have the confidence to try things I never thought I would want to try.
My greatest improvement all around is my confidence and my overall ability and knowledge around things. I can take what I learn from the gym home with me and come back ready to try something new again.

The feeling of accomplishment is the best thing after every work out and it’s great to have encouragement along the way. My favourite catalyst memory so far was when I had the bar and weights put out in front of me for the first time, and I said to Charity “I think I’m going to like this.” It’s when I realized weight lifting is going to be a sport of mine and is something I want to continue for a very long time.
