Five rounds for time of:
Row 500 meters
135 pound Thruster, 7 reps

A classic aerobic/anaerobic matchup. A Thruster has a massive range of motion – from full front squat to full overhead lockout. Moving a weight that distance requires a ton of wattage, and a hard Valsalva (breath-holding) maneuvre. The interruption to your breathing pattern (necessary and natural for spinal stability) really messes with your aerobic capacity, forcing the latter to adapt more quickly than by doing aerobics alone.
